Minor league baseball officially returned to Maine in October 1992, when Portland was awarded an Eastern League expansion franchise to begin play in April 1994. The Sea Dogs signed an affiliation agreement with the Florida Marlins, beginning what would become a nine-season relationship, later succeeded with the Sea Dogs' affiliation with the Boston Red Sox.

Mr. Eshbach will share his thoughts and experiences related to running and marketing a professional sports team.
