This annual event will start at 5 p.m. with a preview/cash bar/silent auction, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction at 8 p.m.
Featured this year are over 75 fabulous one-of-a-kind chairs -- including children's rockers, children's Adirondacks, and "artist choice" chairs in all sizescreated by many of Maine's finest artists from all across the state -- Portland to Millinocket, Farmington to Machias. From the elegant to the avant-garde, the stately to the whimsical, there are chairs for every taste, every
age, and every room of your house or cottage.
Cost is $45 per person, and tickets are available by calling the Museum at 207-262-7200 or online at www.mainediscoverymuseum.org.
If you can't make it to the auction, ONLINE BIDDING is available at our website or by phone. All the money raised from the event will go to support the museum's mission to provide a fun, hands-on place where art, science and nature come alive for Maine children and their families. Through this most important event in the museum's fundraising year, admission and programs are kept affordable and accessible to children and families of all abilities and socio-economic
backgrounds.
