Associate Professor of German, Dr. Hoecherl-Alden teaches all levels of German language, literature and culture as well as classes on German Film and World Cinema. She has published on anti-fascist and Jewish exiles and their impact on Hollywood and higher education in the US and on issues of intercultural competence in language acquisition. Her current research focuses on citizenship and transnationalism in the cinema of German-speaking Europe.
