Strange Worlds Explored at the Jordan Planetarium

The Maynard F. Jordan Planetarium offers two planetary star shows for family audiences in March. "Ring World OD" reveals some of Saturn's most intriguing secrets every Saturday at 7PM.  March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.

In "Destination Pluto," visitors travel past each colorful world of the solar system to reach the far off Dwarf Planet, Pluto Sundays at 2PM. March 2, 9,16,23,30

"Ring World OD," Saturdays at 7pm, tours the solar system's most elegant planet with panoramic views from the planetarium's new Omnidome system.

Visitors will travel with the Cassini probe has been sailing among Saturn's rings and moons for four years to explore the stunning planet's family.

This program includes the more recent views and dramatic sights imaged by Cassini.

The show "Destination Pluto," Sundays at 2pm, is one of the most popular programs for elementary space travelers. The strange landscapes of other worlds in our solar system look large as our space ship swings past each planet. Flight crew members tell the story of discovering planets and the unusual nature of little Pluto.

All showings are about one hour long. Admission is $3 and seating is limited so reservations are highly recommended. There will be no showings Thanksgiving Weekend. For more information and reservations, please call
