"The awe-inspiring sight of a sky full of stars can render us speechless" -Timothy Ferris
View "Seeing in the Dark", a 60-minute, state-of-the-art, high-definition PBS star-gazing documentary by Timothy Ferris. According to PBS "the film introduces viewers to hands-on astronomy from kids learning the constellations to amateur astronomers doing professional-grade research in discovering planets and exploding stars. The film features memorable deep-space images by some of the world's most respected astrophotographers and original music by Mark Knopfler and Guy Fletcher of Dire Straits fame."
8:00pm After the film, all are welcome to make star-gazing wheels and learn about the five circum-polar constellations.
8:45pm For those who would like to stay past sunset, star viewing will take place following the program.
