"Local Folk" is a small "opener" event done in conjunction with the annual American Folk Festival. The event will concentrate on local Maine fashion and music. There will be a stage for local musicians as well as a "catwalk" for fashion shows featuring local designers. The stage will be erected on Broad Street.

For sale will be bottled water, lemonade, pop corn, ice cream, and t-shirts. There will also be a "beer tent".
