American Folk Festival

Celebrating traditional music, dance, food and crafts, the American Folk Festival on the Bangor Waterfront takes place on the last weekend of August each year. It features more than 20 performing groups on five stages, and admission is free! Visit for more information.

Bangor Symphony Orchestra

The nation's oldest community orchestra with continuous service (est. 1896), the Bangor Symphony Orchestra performs classical concerts, casual concerts, youth programs, chamber music, and the Nutcrackers Ballet during its season which runs from October through May.

Between Friends and Next Generation Theatre

Next Generation Theatre is one of the area's newest venues for musical and theatrical performances as well as education in the Arts. They offer classes for children in theatre, dance, and art, and provide a performance space for musicians and entertainers. The theatre can also be rented out for functions. Hudson Museum

The Hudson Museum, housed in the Collins Center for the Arts is an anthropology museum whose exhibits and programs explore anthropology as the study of humans and their reliance on culture.

Maine Discovery Museum

School of Performing Arts
