Laura Mitchell, Ofelia’s Community Resource Center, and Yellow Light Breen to Be Honored October 19th at the 2nd annual FLAVA Awards Dinner. Laura Mitchell of Bangor will receive the Horizon Award, which recognizes an individual within in the Fusion demographic who demonstrates a notable commitment to leadership and civic involvement in the Bangor region. Ofelia’s Community Resource Center will be recognized with the Fusion Partnership Award that honors an organization that is instrumental in making the Bangor region a better place to live, work, and play. Sergio Ramos, owner of Ofelia’s, will accept the award. Yellow Light Breen, Senior Vice President of Bangor Savings Bank and outgoing Chair of Realize Maine, will be presented the Fusion Leadership and Vision Award for championing initiatives that better our region and engaging in cross generational support by encouraging young leaders. The evening will feature a keynote address by Peter Vigue, President and CEO of the Cianbro Corporation, discussing leadership and his vision for Maine’s future. Craig Gunderson, President of Oxford Networks - the Presenting Sponsor of FLAVA 2.0 - will introduce Mr. Vigue.
