Museums/Activities
Fields Pond Audubon Center- Maine Audubon works to conserve Maine’s wildlife and wildlife habitat by engaging people of all ages in education, conservation, and action. We have eight sanctuaries throughout Maine, including Fields Pond, which is located just a 10 minute drive from downtown Bangor. Fields Pond provides canoe and kayak rentals, adult and children programming, camps, and access to trails to connect with nature and explore.
Maine Forest and Logging Museum at Leonard’s Mills is dedicated to preserving Maine’s logging history and sharing it in a ‘living history’ format. Volunteers restore and demonstrate old equipment.
